Five to watch @ The RBC Canadian Open

Each week, Five To Watch breaks down the most significant players and storylines for the upcoming weekend's tournament. We're not saying these guys will win, or that you should pick them for your fantasy team; we're just saying you ought to keep an eye on them. You never know what might happen. Today, we take off to the Great White North for the RBC Canadian Open. Beauty, eh?

Anthony Kim: What a train wreck he had at the British Open. How does one recover from that kind of mess? Why, by coming back and winning his very next tournament, of course. Turnberry notwithstanding, Kim has been playing his best golf of the season in recent weeks, and could be well positioned to make a run against a relatively easier course and weaker competition.

Camilo Villegas: We've been waiting for him to get his game rolling at a high level after his exceptional 2008, and a solid performance at the Open could bode well for him in Canada. He's quietly putting the pieces together for a strong career, and a win here could do wonders for his 2009 profile.

Retief Goosen: Not long after everybody had written off Goosen as cooked, he started throwing up some strong finishes, culminating in last weekend's Open Championship, in which he was mentioned as a legit contender for the Jug. Can he carry that momentum into this weekend?

Steve Marino: Oh, he was so close -- for a moment, anyway -- to the British Open championship. But even after collapsing, he got to spend plenty of time in the company of Tom Watson. That's the kind of thing that can turn a man's career around, especially one who's been a career bridesmaid like Marino.

Luke Donald: He wasn't one of the contenders for most of the week at Turnberry, but Donald fired a superb 67 on Sunday and finished only two shots out of the Watson-Cink playoff. He is definitely due.
